Simply outside

For us, experiencing nature means discovering, trying and being amazed

A little stream in the forest can be more exciting for children than any major attraction.

Take off your shoes, step into the cool water, look for stones and simply see what waits around the next bend. These small nature experiences are what make summer in the Lechtal special.

Around SennHOF, forest paths, meadows and water are all close together. This creates holiday days that do not need to be planned from morning to night – yet stay in your memory for a long time.

SennHOF ♥ Tipp

Our mountain day without stress.

Start the morning without rushing, take the Jöchelspitzbahn up, choose a suitable hike, enjoy the views, stop for refreshments and return to Bach in the afternoon.

Mountain world

Up here, a holiday day suddenly opens into endless space

Alpine meadows, peaks and far-reaching views are among the images you take home from the Lechtal.

The Jöchelspitzbahn quickly takes guests into the mountains even without a major hike. Those wanting more will find various options for walks, hikes and refreshments from there.

Alpine pastures & huts

A good place to stop and eat can be a destination in itself.

Not every mountain day needs a summit. Sometimes a beautiful alpine pasture, a bench in the sun and something good to eat are exactly the right destination.

Water. Space. Peace.

A summer day by the Lech

For us, the Lech is just as much a part of summer as the mountains.

On warm days it feels good to head to the water, walk across gravel banks or simply find a quiet spot. If you want to be more active, combine it with a bike ride or a section of the Lechweg.

Cycling through the Lechtal

The valley floor is ideal for relaxed days on the bike.

Cycle through small villages, repeatedly close to the Lech, and make the tour as long or short as you like. For us, the charm is stopping wherever a bench, a beautiful view or a welcoming place to eat catches your eye.

Saxalm: exactly why we love the Lechtal

Not every beautiful place needs a big excursion programme.

The Saxalm represents what we like to show our guests: unspoilt scenery, peace and the feeling of having a little piece of the valley almost to yourself.

We prefer to share recommendations like these personally rather than simply giving you the longest possible list of sights.

For quiet holiday days

Sometimes a bench is the loveliest destination

A shady forest path, a bench and a little unscheduled time can be just as valuable as a summit.

These quiet sides of the Lechtal fit especially well with a holiday at SennHOF.

Taking it easy today

Not every holiday day needs a big destination

Sleep in, enjoy a relaxed breakfast, take a short walk through the Lechtal – and have coffee and cake in the afternoon.

For us, days like these are part of a real holiday. No timetable, no kilometres that still need to be covered. Simply stay where it feels good.

And afterwards? Perhaps a walk, a few quiet hours in the garden or simply back to your apartment.

And afterwards? Shoes off.

After a hike, bike ride or outing, our garden, a shady spot beneath the apple tree and the chance to simply let the day wind down are waiting for you.

If you are only with us for three days

This is how we would spend a short summer holiday

No tight schedule – just three ideas with plenty of room for spontaneous changes.

Day 1Arrive, get to know Bach, take a short walk towards the Lech and settle in at SennHOF.
Day 2Take the Jöchelspitzbahn up, choose a suitable high-level walk and enjoy a relaxed refreshment stop.
Day 3Depending on the weather: a stage of the Lechweg, a bike ride or a few quiet hours beside the wild river.
